Item level upgrade...
Most combat items can have an increased 'item level,' indicated when an item has a '+1' ~ '+9' in the item name. Increasing item level improves the stat bonuses the item gives. While combat items +1 ~ +6 don't improve the stat bonuses a whole lot, items +7 ~ +9 give much better stat bonuses! Item level can be upgraded at the upgrade tables or the upgrade alters, just north of the Tavern in Scepia (4-5)....
Upgrade success rates...
- There is a chance to fail upgrading items.
- If item upgrade fails, the item and materials are destroyed.
- You can prevent failure by upgrading at the upgrade alters (the northern upgrade tables)
- It requires a Holy Relic items to use the upgrade alters, which is a very rare item.
- Holy Relic can be obtained by sacrificing a Dybbuk Artifact at the Church in Scepia (3-7).
Weapon and armor items...
- Weapons and armor items can be upgraded with Power Gem, Soul Gem, or Vigor Gem.
- Common, Uncommon, and Rare items use a Power Gem / Soul Gem to upgrade them.
- Epic and Legendary items use a Vigor Gem to upgrade them.
- Success rates vary depending on the item rarity, check the table below for full details.
Wing items...
- Wing items can be upgraded with special feather items and an Energy Gem.
- Ancient Feather: obtained from Cursed Island minigame.
- Soul Feather: obtained by sacrificing Dybbuk Artifact at the Church in Scepia (3-7).
